Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo together form the Los Cabos area, but they each offer a unique vibe. Despite sharing a coastline, they have distinct personalities. Here are some of the top things to do in Cabo San Lucas, starting with whale watching in the Sea of Cortez, a prime location for spotting humpback whales between December and April. Our favorite was Cabo Trek’s Whale Watching Trip, costing around $100 for adults and including transportation and a marine biologist guide.

Next, head to Lover’s Beach and Divorce Beach, located on a small island at Land’s End. Lover’s Beach offers calm waters perfect for swimming and water sports, while Divorce Beach is known for its dangerous waves. A popular activity here is a 3-hour sea kayaking adventure.

For a beach with plenty of amenities, visit Medano Beach, the main beach in Cabo, offering various water sports like jet skiing, kayaking, and even parasailing. The beach’s many bars and restaurants provide great places to relax after a day of fun.
