Top 15 Must-Visit Cafes in Limassol, Cyprus

Cafe culture is booming in Cyprus, especially in Limassol, where there’s a plethora of fantastic cafes to choose from. Whether you prefer upmarket patisseries or relaxed beachfront spots, there’s something for everyone.

I spent nearly four months in Cyprus as a digital nomad, with most of my time based in Limassol. One of my favorite pastimes was enjoying iced coffee at various cafes around the city. Limassol boasts some of Cyprus’ best coffee, with beautiful cafes perfect for socializing, working, or relaxing. Each cafe has its unique atmosphere to suit any mood.

Although it was difficult to narrow down my favorites to just 15, here’s my list based on coffee quality, price, food, and location. While these choices reflect my personal preferences, I also cross-checked reviews to ensure they match others’ experiences.

For amazing coffee in Limassol, Uluwatu is a standout. Located just off the beach road behind Molos, it’s renowned for its specialty coffee and delicious ice creams. With a trendy interior and retro seating, it’s a fun spot to hang out with friends. Although there’s no WiFi, the fresh croissants and excellent coffee make it worth a visit.

Another favorite, Nomad Bread, is a hit among locals. With two locations—one in the city center and another in Germasogeia—this bakery and cafe are known for their outstanding coffee, including The Underdog, Greece’s top coffee roaster. They offer a variety of baked goods and sandwiches made with their own sourdough bread.

Caffè Nero, though a global chain, stands out in Cyprus, particularly the Dasoudi Beach location. With reasonable prices, good coffee, and ample seating, it’s a perfect spot for working. The location, right across from the beach, adds to its charm.

Thalassaki, situated on the beach, is a local favorite where you can sip coffee while listening to the waves. It’s not ideal for working but perfect for relaxing and enjoying the beachside atmosphere.

Columbia Beach Bar, known for its upscale ambiance, is great for brunch or just coffee with a view. While it’s pricier, the setting and food quality justify the cost. It’s better suited for socializing rather than working.

In Limassol’s Old Town, a cafe next to the castle offers a colorful interior and an extensive menu, making it a great stop after exploring the area. It has WiFi, but the cafe’s popularity can make it busy.

Clock Café’s locations around Limassol are clean and modern, with excellent facilities for working. I particularly enjoy the cold coffees here, perfect for Limassol’s hot days.

Angel’s Cup, a trendy and artisanal coffee house, is tucked away in Old Town. While small, it offers a wide range of coffees and freshly baked pastries. It’s a hidden gem, ideal for grabbing a coffee to go.

Red Café, located on the Molos promenade, is notable for its central location and delicious food. It’s a popular spot for both locals and tourists and offers both indoor and outdoor seating.

Coffee Island is a go-to for digital nomads, thanks to its spacious seating and reliable WiFi. The Agios Tychonas location, with a covered outdoor area, is particularly nice.

Colors Café, part of the Four Seasons Hotel, offers a luxurious experience with outdoor seating and fantastic patisserie. It’s a bit pricey but worth it for special occasions.

La Croissanterie is my favorite for working, with excellent coffee, sandwiches, and freshly baked croissants. It’s an affordable place to get some work done.

Guest Café Bar in Old Town is perfect for transitioning from a coffee to beer or cocktails. Its cheerful decor and friendly staff make it a great weekend spot.

The Melting Pot Concept has a minimalistic, calm atmosphere, perfect for working remotely with its mild coffee and excellent selection of cakes.

Armonia, located along the beach path, is ideal for a coffee break after a swim. Its relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff make it a lovely spot to soak up the sun.

Limassol offers a fantastic selection of cafes, each with its unique charm and suited to different needs. Whether you’re looking for a quick coffee, a place to work, or just a spot to relax, you’ll find plenty of options to enjoy your caffeine fix in this vibrant city.
